Color Me Mine
Based in North Hollywood, California, Color Me Mine was founded in 1991. There are over 100 studios open or in development in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Canada, Portugal, Netherlands, Philippines, Kuwait, Australia and Japan. Only the training studio is corporate owned. The remaning studios are owned and operated by franchise owners. Thus we have no other priority than the support of our franchise owners.
President Mike Mooslin says, "As the only international chain in the contemporary ceramics industry, Color Me Mine is addressing the industry's concerns that this is a fad and that it's an easy business to enter. Our focus is on long-term stability through product diversification, proprietary innovations, centralized marketing, and operating systems that are difficult and expensive for independent operators to replicate."
Consistency of products and supply sources has been an on-going challenge in the ceramics industry. Color Me Mine's five licensed factories ensure supply sources of high quality products with a consistent clay base.
Color Me Mine emphasizes the education and hands-on training of each of its franchise owners. CMM's Studio Operator Certification Program is scheduled every month. Classes begin on Monday of the first week at 9 a.m. and conclude on Friday of the second week at 6 p.m. All owners or managers may attend with no limit to the number of people per studio. It is important that you devote full time during the training period so that you remain focused and attentive as we teach you design techniques, technical skills, management, problem solving and customer service. We encourage you to find lodging near the Home Office and to rent a car.
Each class serves as a tool for building studio knowledge and in turn building sales. You will be tested on each segment as you move through the course, and your tests will be reviewed immediately to determine the pace at which your training continues.
